Chin up little soldier

Chin up little soldier,
Don’t you dare cry.
You’re a strong little tacker,
lose that fear in your eye.
Now listen up closely,
now hear what I say,
go with your mother,
with her you will stay.

Now I know what I said,
and the promise I gave,
but I have to now break it,
the law made me cave.
I fought all I could,
the pain took its price,
but I lost in the end,
nothing left to sacrifice.

So this is how a man,
comes to deal with his pain.
He smiles and dusts off,
and stands tall once again.
So look at me son,
and watch what I do,
I have lost all I had,
except the loving from you.

So chin up little soldier,
Your making me cry.
You’re a strong little tacker,
with a tear in your eye.
Now listen up closely,
Now hear what I say,
I love you little man,
and crying’s ok.
